WHAT is this carpenter’s tool used for when quilting ? I stole it from my hubby!

LASER SQUARE

Can you guess what this tool is used for while quilting? It was demonstrated last weekend by an attendee at the BEAR LAKE LION’S CLUB QUILT RETREAT. (THE RETREAT was SPONSORED by SEW CRAZY QUILT SHOP in LAPEER MICHIGAN.

She said she took a class from SCHOOLHOUSE QUILTS in Forest City, North Carolina. Her instructor BRENDA APPLEWOOD showed her how to use the carpenter tool to square up her quilt top and then later a finished quilt, getting it ready for binding. http://www.schoolhousequiltsnc.com/

STANLEY and BOSCH both make a Laser SQUARE … This looked so easy when I watched it being done… Squaring a quilt is something I always struggle with… I am going to buy this for my hubby then put it in my quilting supplies… BRILLIANT PLAN.
